An essential tool to cater to all your high-speed networking needs, the Aston Cable Cat6A is the epitome of technological advancements in LAN Cabling. The UTP Cable Cat5 is known for its sturdy design and effective performance. But at Aston Cable, we believe in innovation and growth. Therefore, we've given a revolutionary enhancement to the standard UTP Cable Cat5, transforming it into the astounding Cat6A. This new version retains the trusted features of the UTP Cable Cat5, while incorporating advanced capabilities like handling 10-Gigabit networking for enhanced performance. The Cat6A not only matches the standards set by the UTP Cable Cat5 but also surpasses them. The cable is capable of comfortably handling high-speed data transfers up to 10 Gigabits per second over a full 328-foot length. This ensures uninterrupted and swift connectivity that's ideal for extensive networking needs in large workspaces.· Short Description
-Cat6A Designed For Higher Performance
Cat6A can comfortably handle up to 10-Gigabit networking over the entire 328-foot length. This robust option provides plenty of headroom for IT networks these days with 100 percent uptime. Why is Cat6A sturdier? That capability is due to several components.
Cat6A has a spline or layer between twisted pair cables. This shield prevents interference from internal “bleed” from the other twisted pair and external interference due to electromagnetic interference from machinery, Cat6A and power lines in the vicinity.
Like Cat 6, Cat6A twisted pairs have a cable gauge of 23 AWG. In contrast, Cat6A is more tightly wound than Cat6, providing more copper per inch. This higher density of copper is one reason why this grade of cabling costs more. That same thickness also provides a more robust signal path and thus reduces resistance and prevents power loss.
Cat6A (a full 328-feet) signals reach farther than Cat6 (110-feet). Outside of a local area network (LAN) deployment, it gives installers more flexibility and real estate for connecting devices throughout a structure and between buildings.
Cat6A has thicker casings, making it more durable in extreme weather conditions and improving the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Outdoor rated can easily handle rain, underground and extreme temperature environments.
Cat6A is stiff and harder to bend, making it a bit more challenging to install, but the benefits in terms of network expansion and smart building deployments make it an ideal choice.
Those are features specific to Cat6A grade cables. There are other features universal to all Ethernet cables that are worth noting.

What Is the Difference Between CAT 6 and CAT 6A?
The “A” added onto the CAT 6 cable means that this type of CAT 6 has been augmented.
The CAT 6A is an improvement on the CAT 6 in that it is able to accommodate 10 Gigabit Ethernet data rates up to 328 feet on a single cable.
This means that it is twice as fast as the CAT 6. They are thicker than the CAT 6 cable but they still use the same RJ-45 connectors. The faster speed of the CAT 6A does come at a higher price tag though.
CAT 6a cables have also been shielded which means that they have a thicker covering which helps to eliminate crosstalk completely.
Is There a Cat 6e Ethernet Cable?
There is some confusion surrounding the term Cat 6e, but Cat 6e is not an actual standard. When Cat 6 cables were first coming out, some manufacturers started to offer cables labelled as “Category 6e” following the pattern established by Cat 5 and Cat 5e cables.
They were trying to show that their cable was an upgrade from the Cat 6 ones just like the Cat 5e was an upgrade from the Cat 5. This was not the case though since no legitimate Category 6e standard exists and Cat 6e is not recognized by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA).
The TIA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop standards for the telecommunications industry.
